About Dandelion Den

Dandelion Den Bunnies was established in 2013 and grew very popular. After taking a small break, we are returning on a small scale to offer 5* boarding bunks for small furries to enjoy their holidays in. While we’re proud of our friendly and home from home atmosphere, our commitment to the happiness, safety and security of your pet guides everything we do. We are very experienced in the care and welfare of Guinea pigs and rabbits, being fully aware of their complex care needs and we have an established relationship with a savvy and wonderful local veterinary practice.
ALL INCLUSIVE - Our stays are "all inclusive" meaning you just deliver your furbaby to us and relax with everything provided, from food to toys. All food is included: dried pellets, fresh and natural forage, veggies, herbs and unlimited hay. Clean bedding, litter trays, bowls, bottles, toys and enrichment are included along with 24 hour care. Updates to the Facebook page help reassure you while you are away.
BOARDING BUNKS for outdoor guests are located in a sheltered spot in our garden.
Your furbaby will stay in a spacious, safe, weatherproof hutch. We provide heat pads in winter and cool pods in summer as appropriate. Hutches have full thermal, insulated and waterproof covers in the cooler months, shade sails/parasols and fly screens in summer. FAQs

You’ve Got Questions. We’ve Got Answers.

Do you cater for house bunnies and indoor guinea pigs?

Yes, we have indoor accommodation suited to rabbits and Guinea pigs who prefer to live indoors. It allows them free movement and expression of natural behaviour and is a minimum of 6ft. It is situated in a purpose converted utility room, which maintains a household temperature.

How can I check on my pet during their stay?

Daily photos and updates are posted on the FB page although you are welcome to message at any time and we will get back to you the same day with an update. We would, of course, alert you immediately if we had any concerns about your pet during their stay.

Can we visit, how much experience do you have?

I have many years experience if caring for animals, specifically rabbits and Guinea pigs. I am a huge animal lover, have rescue pets of my own and have been boarding in an official capacity for 12+ years. My knowledge is up to date and I am registered with a local vet who have rabbit and guinea pig expertise.Because it is a busy family home and I have nervous rescue animals of my own, I prefer not to do visits unless absolutely essential as it is very unsettling. I hope that my reviews and experience speak for themselves and that you understand the readons for that decision.

How much are the fees?

Outdoor guests : £10 per bunk, per day
Indoor guinea pigs: £10 per bunk, per day
House rabbits: £12 per bunk, per day.
Includes: everything for your pets stay. You just need to bring them along in a pet carrier.
